Explanation of prostate milking

Within BDSM, prostate milking is seen both as an erotic game and as part of control, surrender, or humiliation. The technique focuses on repeated, gentle pressure on the prostate, causing the organ to contract and release fluid. This process can feel like a slow, deep form of arousal that builds independently of the penis.

For some men, prostate milking feels like an “internal orgasm” without a classic penile orgasm. For others, it combines beautifully with edging, tease & denial, or pegging.

In D/s dynamics, prostate milking can be used to enforce total surrender: the sub is vulnerable, open, and completely dependent on the touches of the Dominant. The psychological element also plays a major role: the idea of “milking,” relinquishing control, or even having to undergo an orgasm that feels different.

Although prostate milking is often used erotically, it also has non-sexual forms, such as in some medical or therapeutic contexts. For the BDSM encyclopedia, we are of course concerned with the erotic-emotional variant.

Safety & points of attention

Use gloves, sufficient lubricant, and clean hands or toys.

The prostate is a sensitive organ; too much pressure or speed can cause pain or irritation.

Prostate milking is about rhythm and gentle, focused pressure – not force or pain. A burning sensation, stinging pain, or nausea are reasons to stop immediately.

Pain when urinating, fever, or blood in semen are red flags.

Be careful with your nails. Even a small edge can damage the mucous membrane.

Some men experience temporary pressure or slight sensitivity after milking; relaxation helps.
