SSICK was developed as an extension of the well-known SSC model. Whereas SSC focuses primarily on safety, common sense, and consent, SSICK adds two important elements: Informed and Kinky. This goes beyond simply saying “yes”; it refers to knowledge of risks, materials, emotions, and possible consequences.
Kinky recognizes that BDSM is more than a set of rules. It is a playful, creative, and sexually charged domain where fantasy, identity, and experience can flourish. By naming this, SSICK emphasizes that kink is not a deviation, but a conscious part of the experience.
More realistic
For many players, SSICK feels more realistic and complete than SSC. It is more in line with the modern BDSM community, where open communication, education, and sexual freedom are central. Where SSC is sometimes perceived as too black and white, SSICK offers room for nuance and personal interpretation.
