Hempex
Definition
Hempex is a synthetic rope that closely resembles natural hemp in appearance and feel, but is made from synthetic fibers. Within BDSM, hempex is often used for bondage, shibari, or decorative knotting techniques, as it combines the look of hemp with greater softness, strength, and ease of use.

Hempex was developed as an alternative to traditional hemp rope, which feels rougher, wears out faster, and requires more maintenance.
