Prostate
Definition
The prostate is a small gland located below the bladder in men, surrounding the beginning of the urethra. The gland plays an important role in sperm production and can evoke intense sexual sensations through anal stimulation.

Explanation of the prostate
The prostate is also known as the ‘male G-spot’, because pressure or massage on this gland can give many men a deep, full and almost electric form of pleasure. The gland is located a few centimeters behind the anus, at the front of the body. When you insert a finger or toy and move it towards the navel, you will often feel a firm, smooth bulge: that is the prostate.
Prostate stimulation plays a major role in BDSM, both in gentle, sensual forms and in controlled, more intense forms of play. Some men experience an orgasm through the prostate that feels different from the “physical” orgasm caused by stimulation of the penis: it can be slower, deeper, and much longer lasting. Others mainly experience pressure, warmth, or a feeling of building tension.
Combinations
Prostate play can be combined with tease & denial, pegging, edging, massage wands, or special prostate vibrators. In a D/s dynamic, the Dominant can use control over this process as part of submission, humiliation, or training.
Prostate stimulation is also sometimes a way to familiarize men with their own bodies, break through shame, or dispel tension around anal touch. What feels heavenly to one man may do nothing for another – sensitivity varies greatly.
Safety & points of attention
Work with gloves, lubricant, and clean toys. The anus is not self-lubricating.
Too much force or speed can cause pain or damage.
Watch your nails. Even a small sharp edge can irritate or tear the mucous membrane.
No hard impact on the prostate. It is a sensitive organ that you should not try to ‘press’ with force.
Watch for signs of pain or burning. This may indicate irritation or inflammation.
Do not play if there is inflammation. Do not play if you have prostate inflammation (prostatitis), fever, pain when urinating, or blood in your semen.
Toys with a flared base. Anything that goes inside the anus must have a wide base so that it cannot disappear.
Be careful with vibrators. Too strong or prolonged vibrations can cause overstimulation.
Aftercare. The prostate may be a little sensitive after intense play; a warm shower and relaxation will help.
