Cervix play

Definition
Cervix play (also known as cervical play or cervical stimulation) is a sexual practice in which the cervix is stimulated, usually during penetrative sex, with fingers, a sex toy, or a penis. It does not involve actual penetration of the cervix – which is anatomically almost impossible because the opening (os) is very small and filled with mucus – but rather pressure, friction, or touch against it.

Explanation of cervix play

The cervix is located deep inside the vagina and forms the opening to the uterus. For some women, touching this area is extremely sensitive or even painful, while others experience an intense, deep sensation or emotional release. Within BDSM, cervix play is sometimes used as part of surrender, body exploration, or extreme intimacy.

The experience is fundamentally different from superficial vaginal stimulation: it touches a place that is vulnerable, protective, and physically charged for many women. Cervix play therefore requires calm, trust, and very conscious attunement. It can evoke feelings ranging from ecstasy to emotional release, and is experienced by some as deeply connecting. At the same time, it is important to emphasize that cervix play is not a standard practice and is certainly not suitable or desirable for everyone.

Safety and points of attention

Cervix play is high-risk and requires extensive knowledge and preparation. The cervix is vulnerable and can be damaged if touched incorrectly. Important points of attention are:

Cervix play should never be painful; sharp pain is a direct stop sign. The sub must be completely relaxed; tension increases the risk of injury.

Only use clean hands or specially designed, smooth toys without sharp edges.

Hygiene is important: hands and tools must be carefully cleaned and disinfected.

Cervix play is not suitable during pregnancy, menstruation, infections, vaginismus, gynecological complaints, or recent medical procedures.

The Dominant must maintain constant contact and verbally check how it feels; body language alone is insufficient.

Aftercare is essential: this form of play can have a profound effect, both physically and emotionally.

Cervix play should never be used as a “challenge” or to test boundaries. It requires maturity, mutual trust, and the ability to stop immediately without discussion.
