Bodybag

Definition
A body bag is a fully enclosed bag in which a sub is confined, usually with zippers or buckles, and often made of sturdy material such as leather, latex, canvas, or nylon. Within BDSM, the body bag is used for immobilization, sensory deprivation, objectification, and total surrender.

Explanation Bodybag

The bodybag is a powerful symbol of surrender. Once inside, you can no longer move, see, or touch. Your body is wrapped up, immobilized, cut off from the outside world. And that is precisely where the magic lies. Because your body disappears… and all that remains is the experience. Every sound seems deeper. Every touch feels more intense. Every second lasts longer.

In a body bag, the body is immobilized in one go – without ropes, without restraints. You don’t have to do anything. You can’t do anything anymore. And that can be both liberating and frightening. For many subs, it is an experience of total power transfer: “take me, I am yours.” For others, it is a mental challenge – a test of trust, of surrender, of daring to disappear.

Under control

The Dominant, in turn, gets a body that is completely under control. Not to abuse, but to guard, to stimulate, to use. Sometimes the body bag remains closed – as an exercise in silence, as meditative emptiness. Sometimes it is opened slowly – a zipper, a finger, a glimpse of skin, a breath over the skin. Slowly, gradually, building up. That contrast makes it exciting: being closed off… and then suddenly one touch.

Body bags come in all kinds of varieties: with openings for the head, crotch, or breasts, with zippers in strategic places, with internal fixation points for bondage, or with built-in breath control. Latex versions fit tightly and give the feeling of a vacuum, while canvas or leather offer a more rough, spacious experience.

What you do with it depends on your style and the bond between Dominant and sub. For some, it is pure tranquility. For others, it is the beginning of torture (he cannot escape). And for some, it is simply a delightful, kinky nap.

Safety & points of attention

A body bag can quickly become hot, especially with latex. Ensure adequate ventilation and check that the sub can breathe properly.

Because the sub often cannot use his/her arms, use a tap signal or leave an object in his/her hand that can be released. Often there is also a mask over his/her head, which makes talking difficult.

Never leave anyone alone in a body bag. Maintain visual or physical contact and check regularly for panic, cramping, or shortness of breath.

Close the body bag securely, but not too tightly. Pay particular attention to the shoulders, neck, and ankles.

Latex, leather, and canvas can become hot or retain bacteria. Clean and dry thoroughly after each use.
