Inflatable gag
Definition
An inflatable gag is a BDSM accessory that is placed in the mouth of the sub and then inflated with a pump. This causes the gag to fill the oral cavity and restrict the ability to speak, swallow, or breathe through the mouth. It is a tool often used in bondage, discipline, and control experiences, where the Dominant can literally “inflate” the intensity of the experience.

Explanation of inflatable gag
The inflatable gag is a variation on the traditional ball gag, but with an extra dimension: control over pressure and volume. Using a small hand pump (similar to that of a blood pressure monitor), the Dominant can gradually inflate the gag, increasing the tension and feeling of powerlessness. For the submissive, this is often an intense experience, combining surrender, breath control, and panic management.
There are different types of inflatable gags:
Mouth-filling models, which disappear completely into the mouth.
Externally inflatable types, which sit between the lips and expand visibly.
Combinations with head harnesses, which are securely fastened with straps so that the gag cannot be pushed out of the mouth.
The experience can be both erotic and sadistic. The inflated feeling in the mouth can lead to salivation, sound restriction, and a strong feeling of helplessness – precisely what is at the core of the experience for many subs.
Safety & points of attention
The use of an inflatable gag requires care and constant observation.
The nose must always remain free. Use is not recommended in case of a cold, asthma, or shortness of breath.
Inflate the gag slowly and watch for signs of discomfort or panic. Stop immediately in case of shortness of breath or dizziness.
Because the sub cannot speak, a non-verbal stop signal must be agreed upon in advance (such as dropping a ball or flashing a hand).
Clean the gag thoroughly after each use with an antibacterial agent suitable for latex, rubber, or silicone (depending on the material).
Overinflating can overload the jaw joint or damage the mucous membrane.
Be aware of material allergies: many inflatable gags are made of latex. Choose silicone or PU as an alternative if you have a latex allergy.
