Feeding gag
Definition
A feeding gag is a special type of mouth gag that allows the Dominant to put food, liquids, or other substances into the mouth of the submissive without them being able to close their mouth or spit it out immediately. It combines elements of control, humiliation, and sometimes also care.

Explanation feeding gag
The feeding gag is a variation on the traditional gag, but designed with an opening that allows something to be fed through it – for example, a funnel, tube, or hollow mouthpiece. This allows the Dominant to literally determine what and how much the sub receives. This can be food, drink, saliva, milk, lubricant, or other substances, depending on the setting and the limits of the participants.
Within BDSM, a feeding gag can have various functions. In gentle, nurturing scenes, feeding symbolizes a form of nurture play: the Dominant “takes care” of the sub by allowing them to eat or drink on her terms. In more humiliating or controlling forms of play, the emphasis is on power: the sub cannot refuse anything, even if they want to. This reinforces feelings of surrender, dependence, and trust.
Powerful tool
Psychologically speaking, it is a powerful tool. Eating and drinking are primary necessities of life; those who relinquish control over them literally give up power over their bodies. For some, this is intensely arousing, precisely because it blurs the boundaries between pleasure, powerlessness, and surrender. In other cases, the feeding gag can also be used as part of fetish play, for example in messy play, gluttony play, or fluid control.
There are different types of feeding gags:
- Funnel gag – with a metal or plastic funnel at the front.
- Tube gag – with a tube for dispensing liquids.
- Open mouth gag – with a metal ring or bit that keeps the mouth open.
The choice depends on the purpose: symbolic control, actual feeding, or playing with liquids.
Safety & points of attention
The use of a feeding gag requires great caution. There is a high risk of choking or suffocation, especially with liquids. The sub must always lie or sit in a position that allows for easy swallowing – preferably upright or half reclined, never flat on their back.
Only use substances that are safe to ingest. Avoid hot, sharp, chemical, or inedible products.
Supervise throughout the entire game and remove the gag immediately if the sub has difficulty breathing, coughs, or visibly panics.
Hygiene is also important. Clean the feeding gag thoroughly after each use.
