Coprolagnie
Definition
Coprolagnia (from the Greek kopros = excrement and lagneia = lust) refers to the sexual desire or arousal that arises from seeing, smelling, or using feces. Colloquially, this is also referred to as scat play. It is a form of paraphilia and, within the BDSM world, it is one of the most extreme and rare fetishes.

Explanation of Coprolagnie
Coprolagnie is not about the physical pleasure experienced through touch or penetration, but about the mental and emotional stimulation of something that is considered deeply taboo. For some, the excitement lies in the shock effect, the ultimate humiliation, or the complete surrender to the will of the Dominant. Others experience it from a sense of power, control, or ritual symbolism.
Within BDSM, coprolagnia occurs only in a very small minority and is usually associated with humiliation play or taboo play. The experience can range from fantasies or conversations about feces to actual physical contact. Often, the psychological aspect – breaking through shame and social boundaries – plays a greater role than the physical act itself.
Historically, coprolagnia has been described in medical and sexual literature for centuries, but always as a rare phenomenon. Within modern BDSM communities, the subject is generally treated with great caution, precisely because of the health risks and strong emotional impact.
Risks associated with consuming feces
Please note: Eating or using feces poses serious health risks. Feces contain bacteria, viruses, and parasites that can cause hepatitis A, salmonella, E. coli, and other infections. Even small amounts can lead to hospitalization. This practice is strongly discouraged by medical professionals.
| Disease | Indicative probability* | Comments |
|---|---|---|
| Hepatitis A | High (tens of %) | Virus is highly contagious via the fecal-oral route. |
| Salmonella | Moderate – high (single digits – tens of %) | Depends on dose, type of Salmonella, and immune system. |
| E. coli (pathogeen) | Moderate (a few – >10%) | Depends on type, quantity, and health status. |
| Parasitic infections | Variable (single – >10%) | Depends on parasite, environment, and immune system. |
* These percentages are rough estimates and not exact values. Use this table solely to illustrate the medical risks, not as a safety standard or guideline.

Safety & points of attention
Coprolagnie is considered a high-risk fetish. Feces contain countless bacteria, viruses, and parasites that can cause serious health problems.
Direct contact with feces (especially via the mouth or genitals) can lead to infections such as hepatitis A, salmonella, E. coli, and parasitic diseases.
Anyone experimenting with this theme must keep everything sterile and avoid contact with mucous membranes.
Clear communication, consent, and debriefing are essential to prevent emotional damage or disgust.
Due to its extreme nature, explicit, adult consent is absolutely necessary.
Many people choose to keep the experience symbolic – for example, through role-playing or language – without actual physical contact.
