Bisexual

Definition
Being bisexual means that someone can feel sexually and/or romantically attracted to both men and women. Within BDSM, this often manifests itself in a broader scope of play and the freedom to engage in experiences with different genders.

Explanation of bisexuality

Bisexuality is one of the most well-known sexual orientations, but it is still often misunderstood. It is not about someone always being equally interested in both sexes, but rather that the possibility of attraction to more than one gender exists. For some, this attraction varies greatly, while for others it is more or less stable.

Within BDSM, bisexuality can add an extra dimension to the experience. A submissive can enjoy surrendering to both a male and a female Dominant, each with a different energy and dynamic. A Dominant may find it exciting to exercise power over multiple genders, or to explore the differences in play. Bisexuality also sometimes plays a role in fetishes, such as cuckolding or group dynamics.

Multiple forms of attraction

It is important to note that bisexuality does not imply promiscuity or infidelity. It is simply an orientation that allows for multiple forms of attraction. Within the BDSM community, there is often more openness to sexual diversity, which makes bisexual people feel more seen and accepted. Nevertheless, stereotypes and prejudices exist here too, for example that someone is “confused” or that bisexuality is just a phase.

BDSM is precisely where bisexuality can be explored in a safe way, with clear agreements, consent, and respect for everyone’s boundaries. Whether it’s a curious experiment or a permanent lifestyle, bisexuality can add a rich and authentic layer to the experience of Domination and submission.

Safety & points of attention

Always communicate honestly about your orientation and desires, especially in committed relationships.

Respect that bisexuality does not imply an obligation to be active with both genders.
